Corporate Social Responsibility.

Here at INTOHEAT, we are committed to sustainable development and ethical behaviour.

INTOHEAT’s Responsibility.

Improving the quality of life for our work force, their families and both the local and wider communities.

At the heart of our organisation is an overwhelming commitment to:

  • Contributing to the economic recovery by growing with our clients and providing employment opportunities to people with all levels of experience
  • Conducting our business ethically, responsibly and sustainably to drive positive change in the industry
  • Improving quality of life for our team and their families
  • Managing our business processes in a manner that results in a positive impact for both our stakeholders and the wider society.

We continue to demonstrate our commitment to CSR by helping to address the skills gap within the UK Mechanical and Electrical industry, which has been well documented by the press and politicians and a hot topic throughout recent years. We do this by developing a number apprentices of all ages.

Helping to Shape our Community.

We are proud to regularly sponsor a number of local charities, youth sports teams and events in the local community.

Events, charities and teams we support include Children’s Hospice South West, Swiss Valley Rangers, Clapton in Gordano Football Club, Macmillan Coffee mornings, Cancer Research UK and Air Ambulance GWAAC.

Ambassadors of South Gloucestershire and Stroud (SGS) College.

As ambassadors of South Gloucestershire and Stroud (SGS) College, we see the skills gap as an opportunity for us and our local community.

Throughout the past 12 months we have worked with SGS College to take our INTOHEAT Apprentice Training Scheme to the next level, offering not only dedicated M&E courses but also further education in business administration. Subsequently we have been able to take the step to extend this scheme to adults who are looking to learn a new trade, contributing to our total of 9 apprentices.

Together, our programmes have recently helped SGS College be nominated as one of the best Further Education providers in the UK by FE Week, with an 87% course starter success rate. Considering our organisation individually, 100% of all apprentices we have taken on have successfully completed their apprenticeships, obtaining craftsman or project engineer status. This statistic is one we are considerably proud of, as it is well above the UK’s Apprenticeships overall completion rate of 74.8%.

We are extremely proud of our efforts to recognise, grow and develop talented individuals. We are also Sheldon Associates, supporting Sheldon School’s new and exciting programme designed to further develop employability skills of its pupils.

Looking Out for the Future.

We have taken the step to project our environmental concern externally by introducing new, more efficient vehicles across the whole business.

Our fleet of vans has been replaced, which were previously producing 140 CO2g/km and achieving 54.3mpg, with a new fleet of Peugeot Bippers that emit 124 CO2g/km and achieve 63mpg, significantly cutting our per mile fuel consumptions and emission contributions.

What’s more, our business vehicles are now hybrid or electric cars, helping reflect our culture of embracing change and utilising the latest technologies available to reduce our impact on the environment on both a local and global scale.

After winning the first BREEAM flagship project, we made a dedicated effort to involve leaders from across our organisation to cascade the environmentally friendly operations, procedures and philosophy to all levels of our organisation. For example, Bath Spa University project extension of the district heating system, which incorporated the replacement of 10 gas fire boilers utilising onsite biomass plant.

Our organisation is also working towards ISO14001 accreditation at the moment, as accredited proof of our actions to demonstrate that our concern for the environment is taken seriously.
