Full Store Decarbonisation Site

Retail Case Study

Full decarbonisation of a store for blue chip retailer, enabling wider carbon reduction targets.

In line with our clients’ carbon reduction commitments, INTOHEAT were tasked with removing the store’s natural gas-fed systems and designing a system which could incorporate the heat reclaim from the store’s new CO2 refrigeration equipment.

Initially working with the client around project feasibility, INTOHEAT took the design and lead services co-ordination role ahead of project delivery. The works consisted of a new packaged plantroom, hot water & heating systems, ventilation, air conditioning, BMS/electrical upgrades and all associated commissioning and testing. Whilst onsite, INTOHEAT also delivered the M&E element of the store’s refresh including but not limited to toilet refurbishment, installation of a Costa Coffee facility and new public health services.
