Southmead Hospital Sterile Services Department (SSD)

Commercial Case Study

The complete rebuild and complex relocation of Southmead Hospital’s SSD unit.

With no room for error, we were appointed to provide the mechanical and engineering services for Southmead Hospital’s SSD as it relocated to a new unit. With a window of just a few weeks, the unit had to be fully operational, inspected and certificated by March 2014.

We were required to incorporate a large amount of M&E plant and services into an existing structure while maintaining programme and a high standard of quality. This also included the client’s specialist sterile equipment.
