INTOHEAT Named Employer of the Month by SGS College.

After working with South Gloucestershire and Stroud (SGS) College for just over 1 year to find, train and develop apprentices into professionals in the M&E industry, INTOHEAT are delighted to have been named by the college as their Employer of the Month within their Construction, Engineering & Low Carbon Newsletter.

Apprenticeships have been a major part of INTOHEAT’s growth strategy in recent years, which hasn’t gone unnoticed. The scheme was a major factor in the organisation’s nomination for Building Services Contractor of the Year from Heating and Ventilation News Awards 2017. The result will be announced later in the year.

Craig Timbrell, Managing Director of INTOHEAT Ltd said, “Our recent growth and success has been well supported by our Apprentice Scheme with SGS College, providing excellent opportunities for newly qualified apprentices to gain full time employment as well as opening up new positions for apprentices of all ages. It’s an incredibly exiting time to be involved in this business.”

As ambassadors of SGS College, INTOHEAT see the well documented skills gap as an opportunity for their business and the local community. Throughout the past 12 months INTOHEAT have worked with SGS College to take their Apprentice Training Scheme to the next level, offering not only dedicated M&E courses but also further education in business administration. Subsequently, they have been able to take the step to extend this scheme to adults who are looking to learn a new trade, contributing to our total of 9 apprentices.

At INTOHEAT, 100% of all apprentices that have been taken on have successfully completed their apprenticeships,
obtaining Craftsman or Project Engineer status. This statistic is one they are considerably proud of.
