INTOHEAT’s New Solar Energy System at Bristol Office
At INTOHEAT, sustainability is a responsibility we take seriously. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce a major step forward in our sustainability journey with the installation of a state-of-the-art solar energy system at our Bristol head office. A significant milestone in our goal to reduce our environmental impact and operate more sustainably.
This powerful new setup features 84 high-efficiency 420W solar panels, creating a total solar array of over 35kW clean, renewable energy. The system is managed by a 25kW inverter and supported by three 10kWh battery storage units, providing a substantial 30kWh of energy storage.
This investment is a cornerstone of our commitment to reducing our environmental impact and powering our day-to-day operations and charging our growing fleet of electric vehicles with energy generated on-site.
Built for Long-Term Impact
We expect this system will generate approximately 32,000 kWh of clean electricity per year, significantly reducing our carbon footprint. Based on the current carbon intensity of the UK’s power grid, this translates to an annual saving of around 7,000kg of CO2. By generating our renewable energy on-site, we are not only reducing our reliance on the grid but also actively contributing to a cleaner, greener energy system for the future.
To put our environmental contribution into perspective, saving 7,000kg of carbon each year is equivalent to the carbon consumption of over 300 mature trees! 🌳
The addition of our battery storage system is key, as it allows us to store the sun’s energy for use overnight and on cloudy days, ensuring our offices and electric vehicles can run on clean, self-generated power around the clock.

A Smarter, Greener INTOHEAT!
This investment is part of a broader, long-term vision for INTOHEAT to create a smart, low-carbon infrastructure that aligns with both business goals and environmental responsibility and is a powerful testament to our dedication to sustainable business practices.
By reducing our reliance on the grid and integrating renewable technology into our day-to-day operations, we’re demonstrating what’s possible for modern building services and energy solutions.
