MacMillan Coffee Morning at INTOHEAT

On the 3rd of October, INTOHEAT held a Coffee Morning in association with Macmillan Cancer Support. This is a cause close to our hearts, as our Health & Safety Officer, Jade, went through her own battle earlier this year.

Right now, more than 3 million people are living with cancer in the UK. By 2030 this figure will rise to 4 million. Macmillan Cancer Support is here to help everyone with cancer live a life as fully as they can, by providing physical, financial and emotional support. They are 98% funded by voluntary donations and holding a Macmillan Coffee Morning is one of the ways we can help them continue their significant work.

Throughout Jade’s cancer journey, Macmillan Cancer Support was with her every step of the way, for example alleviating her lack of sleep due to fears for the future. One of our core values is teamwork and the INTOHEAT team wanted to support Jade in raising money for the charity that supported her throughout this very difficult time.

Jade would like to say:

“Thank you to everyone at INTOHEAT for their support during my battle and particularly to the Board of Directors for their unwavering support, patience and flexibility throughout. They have been truly amazing.”

John our Chairman attended the event and said, “Macmillan do fantastic work for individuals and their families going through cancer. Hosting this coffee morning is a wonderful way to honour their hard work and continue our support.”

We’re pleased to share we’ve raised £560 so far, help us raise more for Macmillan Cancer Support by visiting our donation page. If you’re thinking of hosting your own Macmillan Coffee Morning you can find out more on their website.
