It’s time to celebrate the women of INTOHEAT during this year’s 26th annual Women in Construction Week. The achievements and abilities of our female workforce has rapidly increased over time, and this week is all about paying homage and respect to the hard work they do.

What is Women in Construction Week?
Women in Construction Week (WIC Week) celebrates and promotes the role of women in the construction industry. The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) oversee WIC Week, and it has grown and expanded each year.
The theme this year is “Keys to the Future”. This celebrates the strength and knowledge of women, and the vital role they play in all aspects of the construction industry’s future.
When is Women in Construction Week 2024?
Running from Sunday March 3rd to Saturday March 9th, this year marks the 26th consecutive year of WIC Week since its inception in 1998. That’s not to say this is the only time to respect the work of women in construction, but it’s a great time of year to spread awareness of the great opportunities in the industry that are available to all.
What happens during WIC Week?
This is a time for all people in construction to take a moment and reflect on the role and work of women in their workplaces. You’ll likely have seen other posts cropping up all over the net, but this isn’t the only thing going on.
The official WIC Week website has an itinerary of a number of upcoming activities that will take place over the course of this week. From panels of spokeswomen giving insight on their experiences and journey within construction, to resources to support your own WIC Week, this is a great place to really get involved with the message of the event.
The actual events available depend on your region, so it might be worth checking to get a better idea of what’s on offer.
As for what we’re doing – we’re giving the women at INTOHEAT some much needed R&R after all their hard work, and giving them the recognition they deserve with a shoutout on our public channels.
